Awards and information management

AMS is the OU’s research IT system for managing the development of bids to external funders, and subsequent awards. The system is also used for the University’s REF preparation and to capture, and evidence project impacts.

AMS is primarily used for:

  • Developing the project idea and budget
  • Hosting bid documentation in a common site for ease of viewing by all project stakeholders
  • Recording Risks and Benefits including potential impacts and outputs
  • Obtaining institutional signoff for submission to the funder
  • Recording data around bidding activity and external awards
  • Capturing project impacts (from Dec 2018)

New users

Before new users can use AMS a role must be assigned. In order to be provided with a Role, faculty Research Managers should contact the AMS Admin team stating the new user’s OUCU and permissions required.

All staff can login in to AMS site using their OU credentials (OUCU and OU system password).
