What needs ethics review process description

Process begins with Q: Are you carrying out any of the following? Evaluation research (of courses, teaching-learning, services); audit / quality assurance; market research; research using already collected data.

  1. If “No” consult the HREC Ethics review process flowchart and proceed as appropriate
  2. If “Yes”, then Q: Does your study meet the required exemption conditions as set out in 3 below?
    1. If “No”, then you will need HREC review: consult the HREC Ethics review process flowchart and proceed as appropriate.
    2. If “Yes”, then Q: Can you confirm that your study does not include any of the higher risk elements listed in 4 below?
      1. If “No”, then you will need HREC review: consult the HREC Ethics review process flowchart and proceed as appropriate.
      2. If “Yes”, then your study will not require formal HREC review, but you should adhere to the guidelines as set out in 5 below.
