Professional biography

I am working as a Staff Tutor in Computer and Communications at the School of Computer and Communications, Edinburgh, the Open University, UK. I am a Full Fellow with the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Most recently, I have been recognized and endorsed as an emerging leader in Security by the Royal Society (UK). I am associated and accredited with CISCO as an Academy instructor to teach various CISCO modules. My teaching and research specialisation include Service-oriented Architecture, the Internet of Things, Software and Web Engineering, Database Design, Command and Control Systems (C2/C3/C4i), and Cloud Computing Hybrid security. I have earned my PGC in Academic Practice from the University of the West of Scotland (UK) and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM). I am a Senior Member of IEEE and an Academic Initiative member for IBM (UK). I have various national and international collaborations, such as the Pervasive Computing Group at the University of Technology Malaysia, the Artificial Intelligence Centre for Advanced Systems (CAS), and the Centre of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA) at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. I supervise Postgraduate (Ph.D./M.Phil. /M.Sc.) students and Undergraduate study project students in Computer Science and Cybersecurity. I am also serving as an Editor and Reviewer to many ISI/SCI-E highly-ranked Journals and Flagship Conferences.
