Salime earned a Ph.D. in health management in 2015 from Iran University of Medical Sciences. With extensive experience in the Education Development Center, she has been actively engaged in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SOLT), where her insights have enriched medical education practices.
Salime's remarkable journey includes a distinguished accomplishment as a next-generation foresight fellow in 2022 at the School of International Futures. This experience provided her with valuable insights into future trends, enabling her to infuse forward-looking perspectives into her research.
As a public health researcher, Salime adeptly employs a combination of techniques, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, observations of professional practice, and analysis of administrative healthcare data. Additionally, she utilizes systematic, scoping, and mapping reviews to address pertinent questions within the health system.
Salime's research focuses on primary healthcare, shared decision-making, patient-centered care, implementation research, planetary health, medical education, and health foresight.
Salime's teaching interests cover a wide range, including health system management, methods for health services research, qualitative research, preventing diseases through e-health innovation, and strategic foresight.
Salime's contributions are visible through the publication of numerous academic papers and policy reports authored by her.
Salime's external collaborations span various impactful roles, including serving on the editorial board of "INQUIRY: The Journal of Health Care Organization, Provision, and Financing." She also collaborates closely with the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), contributing to Global Burden of Disease (GBD) research in the health policy and management sphere. Her partnership extends to the World Health Organization's Health Foresight Unit, fostering collaboration on forward-looking health initiatives. Furthermore, Salime holds the role of a professional trainer for MAXQDA, contributing her expertise in qualitative data analysis software.
