OU teaching has been at all levels, from introductory to Masters and PhD teaching. I have taught on geophysics courses and on public engagement courses.
My research uses Citizen Scientists to help collect data on the geophysical signatures and the environmental impact of persistently active volcanoes. The imapct has been that local visitor centres, national parks and civil defence authorities as appropriate have solicited advice and guidance on action and policy.
