Professional biography

I am researching how education can respond to climate crisis and am the receipient of the Open-Oxford-Cambridge DTP Award. This research project is being developed under the supervision of  Dr. Alison Buckler, Dr. Jennifer Agbaire and Dr. Kelly Worwood.

Previously, I have also worked as a writer, editor, bookseller, policy maker and a teacher in India. 

Research interests

Creative Arts based approaches: Literary Arts (Nature Writing, Women's Writings, etc), Visual Arts (Comics, Illustrations, etc), Peformance Arts (Spoken Word Poetry). 

Places and Spaces: Psychogeography, Built Environment, Ecological Spaces, Libraries, Museums, Public Spaces, Life of Books, Spaces of Leisure in Everyday life.

Teaching interests

Arts based methods, Creative Writing, Interdisciplinary Learning, Curriculum Development, Bridging Policy with Everyday life.

Impact and engagement

Worked with children and teachers in India, designing interactive interdisciplinary curriculum.

Created curricula and materials for schools. 

Assited policy makers in India to create impactful resources.

External collaborations

Presented in the Fables from Asia panel at the Glabal Fables Symposium.

Collaborating with Plan International UK to explore the potential of varied approaches to impact on policy and practice within and beyond the organisation. 

Receipient of the Charles Wallace India Trust (CWIT) Grant.

Readings at SOAS, London, University of Stirling and University of Kent with other CWIT fellows.
