2023 - Present | The Open University | PhD - Astrobiology: "How to find life on Mars: Investigating biological potential and putative biosignature formation"
2018 - 2022 | University College London, University of London | MSci - Earth Sciences - Final Year Project: "The link between chemistry and crystallography in natural garnets"
Main Interests:
My research focuses on Jezero Crater in the Isidis Planitia, Mars. The crater is the site of the Mars2020 Perseverance rover mission, which has collected geological, mineralogical and chemical data from the crater floor. Jezero is believed to be the site of an ancient long-standing crater lake, and has significant biological potential. Through geochemical modelling and microbiological experimentation, I hope to explore the biological potential of Jezero and the formation of potential biosignatures.
