OU researcher gives evidence on hazards of mobile phone use while driving

Dr Gemma Briggs, OU Senior Lecturer in Psychology, provided evidence for a Road Safety: driving while using a mobile phone report out today (13 August 2019).

Dr Briggs supports the view that hands-free phone use is equally as distracting as hand-held use and can cause drivers to look directly at hazards yet fail to notice them.
