Day 173, Year of #Mygration: Trubys Garden Tea Room - an inter-faith community café run by Muslim women

Encouraging contacts between all members of society including ethnic and religious minorities can help a great deal in promoting social cohesion. It is in this context that Trubys Garden, an Inter-faith community café run by Muslim women building positive relationships between communities in Milton Keynes. It was set up in 2014. 

Trubys Garden Tea Room will be popping up on Saturday, 8 September, 12.00 - 17.00 at the Guildhall, Church of Christ the Cornerstone, 300 Saxon Gate West, MK9 2ES. Homemade food, including lunches and afternoon teas will be served. Proceeds are donated to local community causes, promoting dialogue and integration between the Muslim and wider non-Muslim communities within Milton Keynes. The money raised at this particular event will be used to furnish a house to settle a Syrian family in Milton Keynes. This is done in partnership with the Middle Eastern Cultural Group and MK Refugee Welcome.
