The OU is a partner in the Hope Into Action: Social Sciences Impact Conference 2023, which is taking place from 20-21 March 2023.

This two-day conference, organised by O²RB Partner universities (University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes University, University of Reading, and The Open University), will take place at St Anne’s College, Oxford.

The conference is aimed at researchers (including DPhil/PhD students, research staff and academics) and professional colleagues, as well as external stakeholders (including collaborative partners, intermediaries, and funders). The programme will comprise a mixture of invited speakers, contributors from the host institutions and other UK universities, and a range of non-academic stakeholders.

It will celebrate engaged and impactful social sciences research and provide inspiration and support for researchers’ non-academic stakeholders hoping to create change for the better through their work.

According to the organisers, now more than ever, partnerships between social sciences researchers and partners in business, public policy, charity, and the community are playing a crucial role in making sense of the world around us and offering hope for the future.
