Dr Jenny Douglas, Senior Lecturer in Health Promotion, is calling for sound research to be conducted into racism in health care.

Passionate about the health and wellbeing of black women as evidenced through her research and public engagement, Dr Douglas has taken part in a video which highlights the fact that black women experience racism in health care.

The video: Black mums: Death in the delivery room, highlights the fact that black women are five times more likely to die while giving birth than white women.
