"How does the creation of a hostile environment toward immigrants challenge the ways we create belonging, build communities and form solidarity? This symposium invites activists, practitioners, artists and academics to address the current hostile environment toward immigrants within and beyond the UK and Europe.

"What does it mean to be ‘hostile’ toward migrant groups, and what are the human impacts of such agendas? While such policies can create a sense of ‘un-belonging’, this symposium seeks to build solidarity across and between the boundaries of migration.

Who are We? is a cross-platform event designed for Tate Exchange (Tate Modern) reflecting on identity, belonging, migration and citizenship. The programme is shaped by co-creation, co-production and exchange among artists, arts and culture organisations, audiences, activists and academics."
