Hand sanitiser to support COVID-19 response effort

OU researchers have used their expertise and labs to make a batch of hand sanitiser to donate to NHS professionals in Milton Keynes and the wider community.

The initiative was led by Dr Michael Batham, Laboratory Manager at the OU, who made a small batch of the hand sanitiser at home after his local supermarket ran out of stock, which prompted him to produce a larger quantity for the local health service.
