In today's post, we are promoting an event being organised in collaboration with The Open University, The Languages: MK Show 2018. Are you interested in learning a new language? Do you want to practise your existing language skills? Are you interested in working as a translator or interpreter?

This coming Saturday, 30th June, The Open University is collaborating with the Institute for Translation and Interpreting, and Milton Keynes Council to hold a free one day event. The project is designed to promote Milton Keynes as a city of languages, a celebration of the cultural diversity of the city and to showcase a wide range of language opportunities offered by the partner organisations. Some of the activities you can join with include: language taster sessions and a language café where you can try out your conversational skills; advice if you are thinking of going into a language-based career and; and a series of continuous professional development sessions. Open University academics will also be discussing the latest research and topics in the world of language studies.
