Professional biography

I am a research student funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) through the Grand Union Doctoral Training Pathway, studying at The Open University.  I have just started my 5th year part-time and am under-taking research alongside my professional role as a General Practitioner. 

Research interests

My doctoral studies are about what is it like to be a family member or carer of someone living with type 2 diabetes.  I am currently writing up my research findings of the lived experience and psychosocial needs of my research participants. 

Teaching interests

I have been a GP trainer for 18 years through Oxford and Cambridge GP schools.
